FAQ

Frequently Ask Question

Yes, the results of a hair transplant are permanent. However, the untreated hair surrounding the transplant sites may start to fall out as you age. Similarly, your transplanted hair may become thinner with age, but you can always undergo another procedure later in life to restore your look once again.
A hair transplant procedure is painless, as expert surgeons now use minimally invasive transplantation methods. You may feel postoperative pain or soreness at the donor and recipient areas, but that’s only temporary. Your doctor will provide you with pain medication to take in case you start feeling any pain.
In rare cases, an FUE hair transplant may fail. Some common causes include postoperative infection, poor aftercare, and inexperienced surgeons. To ensure surgery effectiveness, choose your hair clinic wisely and strictly follow your doctor’s pre-op and post-op care instructions. The most crucial things to avoid are strenuous activities and smoking.
Your scalp may be sore, and you may need to take medications following hair transplant procedure, such as: medication for pain, antibiotics to reduce your risk of infection. anti-inflammatory medications to keep you swelling down that maybe caused because of the procedure.
Sweating isn’t a problem for transplanted hair. Sweating will not dislodge the transplanted hair. It’s true that excess moisture on your scalp can create ideal conditions for microbial growth but keeping your hair and scalp clean after surgery is relatively easy. You only must be precautions for first 10 days of your procedure till your first wash is done.
The dressing is a small piece of gauze which can be removed by 2 days after your procedure. However, it is preferable to rest for two days if there is any pain or mild swelling of forehead. Patient can return to their work/normal routine after the first wash of the transplanted area (10 Days).
Your surgeon will suggest you wait at least 10 days before you start wearing hats or other head accessories. However, if you still wish to cover your scalp, your expert recommends with the most appropriate answer.
Hair transplants are usually recommended for people with severe cases of thinning or baldness, whereas PRP is meant for initial stages of hair loss. Our experts tend to combine the procedures as the PRP treatment would ensure that the grafted hair gives the patient results.
Don’t engage in strenuous exercise for at least 2 weeks after the procedure. This is to ensure, again, that you don’t dislodge the transplant or accidentally cause it trauma. More strenuous exercise makes this more likely. You can begin light exercise, like yoga or walking, 10 days after you’ve had your procedure.
Avoid the consumption of alcohol, smoking, and pain medications. Do not exercise or engage in any strenuous activities for at least a couple of weeks after the procedure. You should also avoid consumption of Seafood for at least 1 month after the procedure.
It’s great for supporting the new growth of hair after you’ve had your transplant. The light therapy helps with the overall healing process and the initial growth from grafts.
